President’s Letter

Dear Fellow Republicans,

We are living in extraordinary times.  Many believe that the divisiveness that we are experiencing in our Nation is the worse it has ever been.  I am here to tell you it is not.  As President Abraham Lincoln stated in his first inaugural address on March 4, 1861,

“I am loath to close. We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battle-field, and patriot grave, to every living heart and hearth-stone, all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.”

As President Lincoln said above, I want to remind you that our opponent or adversary is not our enemy.  They are our family members, our friends, our neighbors, our co-workers, they are our fellow citizens.

In this election year, I am inviting you to become a member of the Republican Club of Plantation and do these three things:

  1. Come to our monthly meeting. Make new friends with other fellow Plantation Republicans who share your conservative values.  There are more of us than you know!
  2. Invite your Republican friends to join and attend our monthly meetings. They do not have to be a resident of the City of Plantation, but as a locally chartered club of the Republican Party of Florida the only requirement to attend and join is to be a registered Republican.  We want to grow our ranks to be a unified and positive voice in our City.
  3. Learn how you can get involved. From coming to our monthly meeting, talking to a neighbor and having a common sense voice, to becoming a precinct committeeman or committeewoman, to running for local office!

If you have any questions about the Republican Club of Plantation please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly.  My contact information is on the contact page of this website.

May God bless you and America,

Dennis S. Conklin
